Wilson Storage Supports Hugs From Holmesglen

Wilson Storage is proud to have been involved in this Holmesglen Community Services student project, formed to support and give back to frontline workers at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Royal Children’s Hospital.

The students and staff delivered thank you packages to those keeping us safe during the pandemic, as well as helping the students complete the required outcomes for their course.

We were more than happy to supply one of our move-in vehicles to enable the team to deliver their care packages to our deserving frontline workers.

The initiative sees students working in small groups on various aspects of the project, including logistics, production, marketing and distribution teams, alongside Holmesglen teaching and support staff to source, pack and distribute thank you packs to staff at the hospitals.

The Hugs from Holmesglen initiative is a collaboration between Community Engagement, Marketing, Media Services, the Holmesglen Foundation, students and staff from the Diploma of Community Services and a wide range of community partners, Business and sponsors including Wilson Storage.

On Friday 30 October the team delivered their first 530 bags to delighted staff at the Royal Melbourne Hospital with the donation of a van from our Wilson storage Cheltenham location.

They then delivered another 500 on Monday 16th November. The hospital is giving bags to their front-line nurses in their aged care facilities and staff across different departments who have all worked tirelessly during C19.
