Lamborghini’s great result in Australian GT Championship

Last weekend the 2016 CAMS Australian GT Championship travelled to Reid Park circuit in Townsville for round 5.

Our own Glen Wood and Justin McMillan in the Wilson Storage sponsored Lamborghini RE-X which had suffered a puncture in the opening laps managed to claw their way back to 18th position at the finish.

“Not a bad weekend all in all, we have unlocked some great speed out of the car which is pleasing and any weekend to top a session has got to be a good weekend.” said a positive Glen Wood.

It was a great race with many battles throughout, culminating in a nail biting finish between Klark Quinn and Tony Walls. Walls took control of the race following the pit stop, and held the lead until two corners from the finish when a hard-finishing Quinn managed to find a way to the front. However, in the heat of battle Quinn had made his move too early and had 25-seconds added to his race time to finish seventh, leaving Wall to claim the win.
