Sandringham Football Club is holding its first ever Family Day packed with entertainment, fun and special guests. What’s more – it’s FREE!

“Both organisations highly value the local community and this principal partnership allows us to bring greater value to Bayside through an improved offering not just for players and officials, but all members and supporters that are involved,” he said.
The Family Day will give visitors the excitement of meeting Melbourne’s South VFL & VFLW teams Sandringham and Southern Saints. David says it’s important that clubs have a strong focus on community engagement.
“We exist for more than just our core business of being a football team. We aspire to connect to the community at all levels, personally and commercially, to be a family environment where everyone is not only welcome but has an amazing time at the club.”
On the day there’ll be plenty of fun activities for the whole family including jumping castles, kids footy clinics run by the players, AFL inflatables, and face painting plus plenty to eat and drink.
“Our players are extremely excited about the day,” said David. “They’ve been delivering flyers to all mailboxes in Sandringham and Hampton, organising the footy clinics and activities that will be run on the day, as well as their own giveaways for all kids. Not to forget the delicious BBQ that will be on offer which they will be running.”
Visitors will also be spoilt with a very special guest on the day in Channel 9’s News Anchor and community favourite, Peter Hitchener.
